The Mental Health Center (MHC), headquartered in Billings, is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to high quality mental health and chemical dependency care in South Central Montana.

A qualified staff of over 160, including psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, nurses, case managers, chemical dependency counselors and support staff offer a very comprehensive mental health and chemical dependency evaluation and treatment service in an eleven county area. Each year thousands of men, women, and children are assisted in finding mental health solutions.  

VA INTENSIVE COMMUNITY CASE MANAGER

To work full time in the Billings Mental Health Center providing identified severely mentally ill veterans with ongoing intensive community case management services. Duties include assessment and case planning; crisis response and referral to appropriate crisis emergency services; symptom monitoring; assistance with activities of daily living; interpersonal relationship/leisure time activity services; referral to providers of community supports; assistance with vocational/educational supports; linkage, referral and advocacy with other systems necessary to the veterans support in the community.

Bachelor's degree in a human services field with at least one year of full-time experience serving people with mental illness or five years full-time direct care experience in a mental health setting. Requires good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to do detailed paperwork; valid driver's license; and a working knowledge of community services. Veterans and/or immediate family members of veterans will be given preference.

PACT PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION AIDE

To work full time in the Billings Mental Health Center providing assistance to clients referred to the PACT team in development of appropriate social opportunities/skills. Duties include provision of assistance with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, laundry), provision of social interaction and transportation to/from appointments, shopping, etc. One year experience working with the mentally ill population preferred. Must be a high school graduate (or equivalency) with a basic understanding of serious mental illness. Requires good verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, the ability to manage multiple duties, a valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to develop a supportive relationship while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
